Location: Quebec, Ontario or Maritimes

We are currently seeking an energetic and motivated sales professional to fill the position of Senior Account Manager for our Pulp and Paper industry. We are looking for a bilingual candidate who will bring professional sales experience to focus on developing relationships with existing customers and prospecting for new customers. We are looking for someone who will be located either in Quebec, Ontario or Maritimes as this person will involved primary to a territory located in Eastern Canada and the Northeastern United States. We are looking for someone with business-to-business experience in the pulp and paper market for chemical applications.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Senior Account Manager?:
  • Increase sales to new and/or existing customers by offering Quadra's superior product line during routine visits
  • Develop customer accounts by proactively collecting and studying information (prospecting)
  • Engaging in proactive outreach activities (cold calling) to potential clients
  • Conduct thorough qualification processes to identify key decision makers and understand their unique needs, enabling you to provide tailored solutions and forge strong relationships based on mutual success
  • Ensuring excellent customer relationships in line with Quadra's core values and strategic vision
  • Participate in enhancing the customer experience related to major accounts by suggesting adapted solutions by identifying key decision-makers and their needs.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales and margin targets while participating in financial forecasting exercises
  • Securing new business opportunities, maintaining current sales, negotiating new contracts or negotiating renewals of existing contracts
  • Successfully close new business opportunities by coordinating requirements, skillfully developing proposals, and conducting negotiations that align with contractual requirements, ensuring a mutually beneficial outcome for all parties involved
  • Ensuring that documentation and reports are complete, accurate and submitted to other departments within the established deadlines
  • Collaborate with the sales team during customer calls (product managers, marketing, cross-selling)
  • Contribute to and participate in industry events
  • Effectively manage tight deadlines and handle any emergencies that may arise outside of business hours ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption to operations
  • Play a crucial role in assisting customers with troubleshooting and identifying optimization opportunities to enhance their experience and maximize their benefits during the development, follow-up and closing of sales opportunities
  • Participate in the yearly forecasting exercise
  • Act as a mentor the team; subject matter expert in the pulp and paper industry, strong complex problem solving skills
What are the key requirements for this Senior Account Manager role?:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields
  • At least 15 years experience in business development and prospecting, territory management, with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Proven experience in the pulp and paper market with knowledge of the manufacturing sector
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to a dynamic and ever-evolving business landscape is vital for success in this role. Flexibility and agility in navigating changing market conditions and customer needs are key attributes
  • Proficiency in using Office tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software like Salesforce, will facilitate effective communication, data analysis, and reporting
  • A strong sense of self-motivation, entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to work autonomously are essential qualities for success in this role
  • Excellent ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment while managing tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to build strong relationships with customers
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to solve problems efficiently and proactively are critical for managing multiple tasks, identifying opportunities, and resolving challenges effectively
  • Bilingualism in written and spoken French / English is considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s licence & Passport; willingness to travel in the assigned territory (up to 50% of the time), including overnight travel
