The Ministry of Trade and Export Development (TED) is offering an exciting opportunity to help advance the Government of Saskatchewan’s international engagement. As a key member of the International Relations Branch, you will join a growing team dedicated to advancing Saskatchewan’s priorities in key markets around the world.
Reporting to the Manager of Diplomatic and Stakeholder Relations, the International Relations Officer will be responsible for:
- Conducting independent research and analysis to support the work of the branch’s Senior International Relations Officers on international relations initiatives;
- Preparing a variety of written materials including background notes, biographies, context notes and other required documents to support Saskatchewan’s international engagement;
- Providing logistical support for incoming diplomatic and outgoing missions, along with other initiatives and events; and
- Working as part of a team and/or an independent member of the branch in a fast-paced work environment with tight timelines.

The candidate will be outcome-oriented, a strong communicator and writer, and proficient in research and analysis.
A relevant university degree, preferably with a focus in international relations, international affairs, public policy or political science is required. Previous experience in government (provincial or federal), or an international organization, along with experience in project management would be beneficial.
