Start Date: August 2023
Status: Full time
Schedule: Days, evenings and weekends - daytime schedule during the week, following school schedule (off summer, 2 weeks at Christmas, March break, and pedagogical day)
Wage: $17.93/hr
Location: University of Ottawa, 85 University Private, Ottawa ON
Important Information: Previous warehouse associate experience an asset. Group insurance after 6 months of continuous service for shifts at 25 hours or more per week. This position includes subsidized meals, uniforms, bonus for an employee referral, rapid and limitless career advancement, as well as a pleasant and safe work environment.
Job Summary
How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock and managing inventory within the warehouse.
As a Warehouse Associate, you will:
- Schedule distribution of goods; prepare bills of lading, invoices & other shipping documents
- Perform manual & computerized inventory control
- Maintain internal record keeping system, record shortages & reject damaged goods
- Route goods to appropriate storage areas, pack goods to be shipped, unpack goods received
- Oversee loading & unloading of goods
About you:
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Valid driver's license
- Must have computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Excellent customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication
