RAGLAN MINE
DEVELOPMENT MINER
(6 PERMANENT POSITIONS – UNIONIZED)
Service: Operations and Mining Engineering
Location: Raglan Mine Site
Reference number: REQ23-124
Under the supervision of the underground mine supervisors, and working in a safe, unique and motivating environment, you will carry out underground development work. Your main duties will be:

  • Perform field support, drilling, blasting and associated work for the development of galleries.
  • Operate equipment such as jumbo and bolter (electric and hydraulic).
  • Occasionally operate heavy equipment such as a such as scoop trams, muck trucks and service vehicles.
Your profile:
  • At least 3 years of experience as an underground development miner, with at least 1 year as a mechanized bolter operator.
  • Understanding of plans and specifications.
  • Experience as a jumbo operator or Sandvik jumbo bolter (a strong asset).
  • Modular training 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7.
  • General explosives license.
  • Accreditations to operate development equipment used in a mechanized mine.
  • Driver's license.
What we offer:
  • Work shifts of 11 hours per day, alternating day/night.
  • Rotation schedule of 50/50: equivalent to 3 consecutive weeks of work followed by 2 weeks of leave; and 2 consecutive weeks of work followed by 3 weeks of leave.
  • Private air transport is provided from Montreal, Quebec, Rouyn-Noranda, Mont-Joli or Inuit communities (depending on place of residence) to the mine site and return.
