The Vehicle Management Agency's mission is to provide fleet management and vehicle maintenance services to Government, on an economical basis and according to established standards, to enable clients to deliver quality services to the public.

What you will do?
As an Operations Worker II, working as an automotive service worker, and member of the Vehicle Management Agency, you will work under the direction of the Mechanic Supervisor of the Fredericton Heavy Repair Facility and be responsible for:

  • Scheduling of tire services
  • Client service relations
  • Maintaining tire inventory and security
  • Installing, repairing and balancing tires
  • Servicing, lubricating, cleaning, performing minor repairs and all related automotive equipment maintenance as required on Province of New Brunswick assets.

Work environment:

  • Work location: Fredericton
  • Variable hours, including, evenings and weekends, when required

  • Some travel within the district will be required

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completion of grade ten (10) and one (1) year of experience in servicing vehicles, tire replacement and minor repairs as required.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

SALARY: $22.72 per hour, based on 40 hours per week
