Your future role on our team
Join BBA and make the most of your experience by actively contributing to BBA’s growth in the mining and metals sector and to achieving our strategic objectives. As the iron market leader, you will work closely with other market directors and operations directors to develop business strategies that support BBA’s growth and development. You will leverage your technical expertise, industry knowledge, client relationships and experience to maintain BBA’s leadership position in the iron market.
An overview of your mandates and responsibilities
Strategy and business development
Develop the strategic plan and action plan for the iron market
Identify capability gaps and propose strategies to address them
Identify high-potential projects in order to build a pipeline of future projects
Provide exposure to potential new clients and expand relationships with existing clients
Prepare proposals.
Technical and project execution
Act as a mentor in the professional development of our engineers
Fulfill consulting mandates for mining projects in development or in operation (iron or other)
Help prepare reports and technical studies (NI 43-101, preliminary, pre-feasibility and feasibility)
Conduct audit and due diligence mandates
Oversee project delivery as project manager.

Overview of certifications and job requirements
Degree in engineering or geoscience from a recognized university
Certification as a professional engineer or professional geoscientist in Canada
At least 15 years of relevant experience in the mining industry
Recognized leadership skills and expertise in the iron market
Solid technical experience applicable to consulting servicesExcellent oral and written communication skills
Availability to travel occasionally to domestic or international destinations, as required
ASSET: Budgeting, estimating and scheduling experience,with financial modelling skills
ASSET: Fluency in English and French
ASSET: Ability to act as a qualified person (QP).
