Union - CUPE Local 402 - Regular Full-Time

The Administrative Services Department has an opportunity for the position of a Clerk 2 to support the mail room at the Surrey RCMP Detachment.

Sorts, checks and maintains office records such as files, reports, invoices, office supplies, field sheets, cheques, bills, receipts and requisitions. Opens, distributes and files correspondence. Prepares basic correspondence. Makes arithmetical calculations. Performs data collection and entry. Provides information to the public and others concerning departmental rules and regulations, over the telephone or at the counter, referring difficult or unusual problems to a supervisor. Operates office equipment, such as computers, word processors, photocopy and fax machines. Assists other staff in performing their duties. Performs related duties as required.

A qualified applicant will have: Completion of Grade 12, supplemented by several courses in word processing, office practices, and PC office applications Minimum of 1 year experience and training in an office environment An accurate typing speed of 45 WPM Successfully complete the RCMP Reliability Security Clearance.
Conditions of Employment

This position requires completion of an RCMP Reliability Security Clearance.
