The Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB) provides policy, standards, regulatory, audit, conducts investigations and enforcement oversight of all gaming and horse racing sectors to ensure the integrity of public gaming in the Province. This includes regulatory oversight of the BC Lottery Corporation (which conducts and manages lotteries, casinos, and commercial bingo halls), BC’s horse racing industry and licensed gaming events, including eGaming. GPEB is also responsible for the administration of Gambling Support BC and, through their programming, for reducing harms from gambling products.
The Strategic Engagement and Public Awareness Manager manages, plans, organizes, and leads the strategic public awareness, marketing, and communications provincially for Gambling Support BC (GSBC) within the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch of the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (PSSG).
Job Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in a related field (Communications, English, Public Administration) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in planning and performance measurement, preferably within the public sector.
- Experience in managing allocated budgets.
- Experience developing and maintaining working relationships and resolving problems with stakeholders in a public service delivery system preferably with experience in social services.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
- Experience working in a regulatory environment or familiarity with gambling subjects.
- Experience in the delivery of prevention generally and problem gambling specifically.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
