Psychologist/Social Worker Private Practice

Seeking work-life balance? Brightside Integrated Health is expanding and we are now recruiting therapists who wish to join our private practice clinic in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Our new office is located in a professional building that has free parking and is off a main artery for an easy commute for staff and clients.

The office is newly renovated, fully furnished and comfortable with a warm atmosphere. At present, we have more requests for service than we can handle and are able to refer new therapy clients to successful candidates.

We offer flexible hours, an emphasis on work-life balance, peer consultations, a friendly and supportive workplace, and competitive rates for associates. Further, we provide billing, clerical, client distribution and online and in person booking for appointments.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology or Social Work
• Membership in good standing with a respective professional order
• Experience providing counseling or assessment services for adults, adolescents, and/or children.
• Active liability insurance

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A good working knowledge of EFT, CBT, Narrative Therapy or Solution Focused Therapy models and protocols
• Thorough understanding of the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is considered an asset
• Demonstrated experience conducting individual psychotherapy
• Basic understanding of Trauma Informed Therapy
• Commitment to ethics and professionalism
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary mental health team
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Clear commitment to client centered care
• Competency in other languages an asset

Compensation: Fee split
