The Ministry of Trade and Export Development (TED) requires a creative, highly skilled marketing professional to develop, implement and evaluate marketing, digital and social media strategies on a broad range of initiatives. The position offers the challenge of a fast-paced environment and the satisfaction of promoting Saskatchewan’s economy and investment environment to provincial, national and international audiences. Some travel may be required.
Reporting to the marketing director, you will be part of a marketing team which provides shared services to TED, as well as the Ministry of Energy and Resources. You will play a critical role in supporting Saskatchewan’s international offices and promoting Saskatchewan globally.
You will be responsible for:
- researching and writing marketing/social strategies;
- developing engaging content for digital, social and print;
- managing marketing campaigns;
- supporting social media accounts;
- providing strategic advice to senior officials;
- planning, filming and editing videos using Adobe Premier and/or managing film contractors;
- organizing events and/or tradeshow involvement;
- desktop publishing using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop;
- managing suppliers to complete projects including timelines and budgets; and
- other marketing consultant duties as required.
You will have demonstrated knowledge of:
- strategic marketing and communication principles and practices;
- social media channel management; and
- digital and traditional marketing tactics, video production and graphic design using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
You will be a consultative team player with good interpersonal skills who can also function with initiative and independence. You will be reliable, proactive, organized, attentive to detail and flexible in order to respond quickly and positively in a fast-paced work environment.
Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position would have been gained through a degree in marketing, communications, journalism, new media or other related degree, plus related work experience.
