The Manager of Financial Analysis and Reporting is responsible for approximately $2 billion in annual operating transfer payments to school divisions. This position is also responsible for the monthly forecasting, analysis and reconciliation of transfer payments to school divisions as well as consolidated summary financial reporting on behalf of school divisions on a quarterly basis.

The incumbent is expected to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of internal and external parties to ensure accurate and appropriate disclosure of school division financial operations to the public. This work involves managing the review of audited financial statements of school divisions and financial information included in school division annual reports.

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced financial manager with a thorough understanding of financial management processes, and financial reporting principles including GAAP and PSAB practices. A solid understanding of government decision-making processes and third-party governance structures will be a definite asset. Through excellent communication and interpersonal skills, this position will develop strong working relationships with the PreK-12 sector. Strong analytical, business process improvement and project management skills are essential.

The successful candidate will possess a degree in commerce or business administration as well as a Chartered Professional Accountant designation and supervisory experience.
