Are you a team player who enjoys designing and refining information flows and office procedures? Are you highly organized and looking for an opportunity to better apply those skills to make a difference in the public service? The Ministry of Government Relations is seeking an enthusiastic and well-organized Executive Coordinator for the Municipal Infrastructure and Finance Branch.

In this role, you will coordinate and deliver a variety of confidential financial, human resources and operational processes, procedures and support services. You will provide office management and senior administrative leadership to the Branch and, as requested, to Ministry priorities. You will coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Executive Director and review, prioritize, direct and/or delegate correspondence/requests. You will ensure timeliness of action/deadlines and ensure confidentiality, consistency and accuracy. You will independently initiate, review and compose correspondence and will oversee the development of a variety of sensitive and confidential documents such as briefing materials, budget documents, Cabinet documents, and presentation materials.

The ideal candidate will be thorough and attentive to detail to ensure quality work and be adaptable and flexible in order to meet new challenges. You will independently organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks while dealing with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines. You will have demonstrated experience in building and supporting a positive work environment, leading a team of high-performing administrative staff, and a commitment to government’s core values: show respect and integrity, serve citizens, practice excellence and innovation, and act as one team.

Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position would be obtained through the completion of a certificate or diploma in administration combined with significant work experience, leadership in an office manager position, or an equivalent combination of training and experience at a senior level.
