The expertise and talent that PSC staff bring to their work is critical to our overall success, as our Ministry is responsible for delivering to the Government of Alberta HR services in all HR functional areas, internal communications, and employee engagement.


Role

Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), APS Communications and Employee Engagement, the Branch Executive Support and Communications Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative support to the ED, and issues management and office administration for the branch.


Job duties will include:
  • Providing issues management, coordination, and tracking.
  • Administrative support for the ED’s meetings.
  • Managing the flow of information in the branch, including through ARTS.
  • Maintaining records and managing assets and supplies for the branch.
  • Serving as branch 1GX Work Place Administrator; submitting BERNIE requests for the branch.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma and 4 years of related experience.
o Excecutive level administrative support, including calendar management, meeting support.
o Strong written and oral communications skills.
o Strong time-management and organizational skills.
o Understanding of procurement, budget and records management practices.

Assets:
  • Professional Administrative Certification or Office Administration Diploma.
  • Experience supporting a Communications office.
  • Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Acrobat Pro, 1GX Workplace Administrator (WPA), One Government Experience (1GX), BERNIE, ARTS.

Equivalencies will be considered on the basis of one year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.

Salary

$2,042.85 to $2,511.73 bi-weekly ($53,318 to $65,556/yearly)
