New Job Aide, Resident Services In Saskatchewan

The Ministry of Social Services, Community Living Service Delivery, is seeking caring and empathetic individual(s) who are passionate about supporting and assisting intellectually-disabled individuals to live their life to the fullest. This appointment is located at Southwood Home in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

As part of this rewarding opportunity, you will work interdependently within a home-like environment providing physical, emotional and personal care to the residents of Southwood. You will be required to assist residents in their everyday living which will involve duties such as personal hygiene, housekeeping, food preparation, laundry, recreational activities and outings. You will participate in care plan development and report on changes to resident's condition and behaviour. As a team player, you will be respectful of the diversity of others and promote a healthy, productive and safe work environment that is free of discrimination.

Typically, the knowledge required for this position will be gained through experience on the job. However, previous experience working with intellectually-disabled individuals and/or completion of a Special Care Aide Program would be considered a definite asset. This position may be exposed to the risk of violent situations. Some travel may be necessary.
