The Information Technology Strategy and Planning Branch has a career opportunity for a Web and Technology Specialist to join their dynamic team of information technology professionals in an environment in which you can learn, grow, create and support innovative solutions to help EECD deliver on its business objectives.

What you will do:
While working in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will create and lead web and technology implementation throughout provincial efforts. The duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Content Management System (CMS) strategy.
  • Coordinate CMS content and deployment.
  • Implementation of web content & updates.
  • Analytics management and reporting.
  • Technical support for CMS.
  • Support other web and technology efforts as required.
  • Research available CMS platforms or plugins.

Who you are:
You are an individual that is effective working on your own but are also able to work efficiently as part of a group on a larger initiative. Given that a large portion of this role you will be working unsupervised, this poses no issue for you as you are someone that thrives working independently.

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Need to have:

  • A two-year (2) College Diploma in Technology related program with emphasis on web/internet technology with a minimum of six (6) years of related work experience including at least two (2) years of experience working with a Content Management System (CMS) and project coordination.
  • Considerable experience with Wordpress and/or Drupal CMS.
  • Strong digital portfolio with examples of mobile, web or software design.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration. Please ensure that preferred language for assessment is identified on your resume.

Nice to have:

  • Exceptional visual design skills to create impactful and easy-to-use interfaces and flows.
  • Experience with design concepts and direction with end-users and business owners.
  • Experience in supporting and developing Websites in cloud environments.
  • Experience in digital technologies.

Pay Band 4: $54,002 - $75,530 annually.

Work environment:

  • Office location: 250 King Street, Fredericton.
  • Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30.
