Senior Financial Planner & Analysis Analyst

Location: This position will be based in our Winnipeg office

The opportunity:

Wellington-Altus is currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Planner & Analysis Analyst to join our finance team. Reporting to the The Senior Financial Planner & Analysis Analyst will have a strong background in accounting and a passion for financial planning and analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to build out a robust budgeting and forecasting framework.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders on enterprise project initiatives, by evaluating capital expenditures and reporting on actual vs budget.
  • Developing and maintaining financial models to support organizational decision-making.
  • Participating in meetings with other departments to discuss financial planning and provide financial insights
  • Being the lead financial resource for the project management office.
  • Collaborating with the finance team to deliver financial reporting to senior leadership.
  • Identifying trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Successful completion of CPA designation.
  • At least 3 years of public practice accounting experience.
  • A strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • An excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Excel.
