Job Information

The Regional Manager, Continuing Care Services is responsible for the overall management of a 28-bed Long-Term Care Home, the Elder Day Programs, and the Home and Community Care Program. The Regional Manager leads, implements and manages the delivery of quality-based Continuing Care Services. The incumbent will lead and manage the logistics of regional continuing care service delivery, including but not limited to, the management and support of staff and scheduling, and the management of capital resources required to meet operational needs. In addition, the Regional Manager is responsible and accountable for the management, variance reporting and planning of an operational budget of $3,070,000.

The Regional Manager must have knowledge of program management, including budget development preparation. The incumbent must have the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with individuals, agencies, elected community leaders, and employees in order to communicate program information, including the ability to obtain and respond to feedback. In addition, the Regional Manager must have the knowledge of how to design and facilitate a change process, including the ability to build and work with groups of teams, planning and implementing change, and skilled in group dynamics and conflict resolution.

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:

A Baccalaureate in Nursing plus five (5) years of management/supervisory experience and 3 years' experience in a continuing care setting.
