Beaverbank Physiotherapy is saying goodbye to one of our family. One of our long-time, full-time therapists is sadly moving out of the city and leaving a full caseload behind.

We are looking for a full-time physiotherapist to fill these shoes.

Beaverbank Physiotherapy is the oldest clinic in Lower Sackville, NS. We just celebrated our 30th birthday this year. We are a teaching clinic that works closely with Dalhousie to mentor students in the Physiotherapy program. We also mentor physiotherapists in the AIM program that are working towards their Fellowship in the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT) and we teach independent courses out of our two clinic locations. Our therapists are highly educated in post graduate courses. Many of our senior therapists are FCAMPT therapists.

Our clinic culture is based on education and support for each therapist in their pursuit of post graduate education while being in an environment that is friendly and light. We support a lighthearted workplace that is comfortable, inclusive, supportive, fun, and relaxed while also being driven to deliver top notch care to our clientele. We hire therapists and support staff based on their abilities but also on their contribution to the culture we all like to work in. We have a multidisciplinary team (physio, massage, counselling, athletic therapy, orthopaedic surgery) that lends itself well to working through complex cases.

The clinic philosophy is focused on manual therapy, exercise, and patient education. We have 10+ rooms, each equipped with mechanical up/down beds and treatment supplies. Our gym has cardio equipment, a squat rack, barbells, bumper plates and dumbbells/kettlebells up to 40lbs. We have supportive modalities and other equipment to make your treatment sessions run smoothly. Each shift has the support of administrative staff and physiotherapy assistants.

We offer competitive pay, health/dental benefits, in house education and mentorship as well as a yearly education allowance. Shifts are varied and booking is flexible. We have a strong referral base and connection to our community. This means a robust caseload. We are a teaching clinic with mentorship available in various aspects of physiotherapy especially advanced assessment and treatment, manual therapy (FCAMPT and AIM), exercise programming, prescription and execution and pelvic floor physiotherapy.

The caseload is varied and largely made up of private pay, with a small percentage of MVA, WCB, and DVA. We treat athletes in various sports and we work with several athletic teams. We support therapists in their pursuit to work with special populations.

We are seeking a full-time physiotherapist with a strong interest in advanced education.

The successful candidate should first and foremost be team oriented and friendly, interested in working in a collaborative environment and self-driven.

We would love someone with experience in manual therapy and a busy clinic environment, but we are willing to mentor those that fit well and contribute to the team culture but have less experience in those areas. We do require candidates to be registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of NS.

We are in Lower Sackville, NS. A quick 20 minute drive from Halifax.
