Environment and Climate is seeking a Manager, Canada Map Sales, to join our Shared Services division. The Shared Services division provides support to both the departments of Environment and Climate and Natural Resources and Northern Development.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A degree in geography or mapping with business experience, and training. A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in marketing, customer service, and product development.
  • Experience interpreting and applying policies, guidelines, acts, and regulations
  • Strong written communication skills to prepare documents for senior management.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse groups and in a team environment.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Ability to work exercise initiative and work independently.
  • Sound judgement and decision making skills.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Adobe Pro, or similar software applications.

Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Shared Services and Risk Management, the Manager, Canada Map Sales is responsible for managing Canada Map Sales and Geospatial Information, including mapping services, Provincial Air Photo Library and digital geospatial information, product development sales/services to the general public and other government agencies. The incumbent manages the clerical staff and intake counter for both Environment and Climate and Natural Resources and Northern Development.
