New Job Management Board Secretariat Analyst In Northwest Territories

The Department of Finance has the mandate to provide leadership and direction to the public service in all areas of finance and human resource management. This mandate includes negotiating major financial arrangements with the federal government, providing analysis and advice to the Financial Management Board, and ensuring that financial and information resources are managed effectively, efficiently and economically. This mandate also includes the recruitment and retention of a competent public service that is representative of the people it serves and the development of programs and services that effectively serve the human resource needs of the public service.

You would be providing strategic advice for program design, monitoring and evaluation; government-wide development of business plans, main estimates and enterprise risk management. You would also help develop and manage an on-going approach to government-wide program evaluation via the GNWT Program Evaluation Policy, support business planning and enterprise risk management to further develop and integrate these activities into routine departmental planning and financial processes. This position is also focused on building capacity throughout the territorial government in the areas of program evaluation and enterprise risk management.

To be successful in this role you would have a undergraduate degree or professional designation in the areas of program assessment, program evaluation, public administration or project management combined with 3 years related work experience.
