The Ministry of Justice is responsible for providing a fair justice system that upholds the law and protects the rights of all individuals in Saskatchewan; promotes safe and secure communities; and provides legal and justice policy advice to assist government.
The Ministry of Justice, Court Services Branch is seeking a skilled, ethical, confident individual to work at the Saskatoon Court of King's Bench office to provide comprehensive clerical support. We are seeking a candidate who has excellent communication and positive interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail. As administrative support, the successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of office equipment such as photocopiers and facsimiles; enter and retrieve data using various software programs; maintain files and records and retrieve and search files for information; receive, sort and distribute mail; and provide reception services and general program information.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of applicable computer hardware and software applications and legal terminology and will have demonstrated their ability to input, update, retrieve, maintain, format and transmit information using computer software with speed and accuracy. Your ability to accurately type and edit correspondence and other legal documents and your ability to use tact and diplomacy when serving clients and colleagues will contribute to your success in this challenging position.
Responsibilities include processing legal documents within King’s Bench database and/or other databases, preparing affidavits of service, reconciling month-end financial reports, drafting/typing letters and court related documents such as civil, criminal, adoption, estate and divorce actions and compiling jury lists.
You will independently perform complex clerical and receptionist duties including some financial and statistical matters for the Sheriff/Local Registrar.
