New Job Continuing Care Assistant Or Caregiver In Nova Scotia

Osprey Angels Home Care is a locally owned and operated company, new to the Annapolis Valley, with locations in Sydney and Halifax. We aim to give back to the community by employing local caregivers who are skilled and dependable, and will ensure compassionate and consistent care to seniors. With a genuine desire to help people, we are here to make a difference by improving the quality of life for seniors in the comfort of their homes. Whether it be private homes, residentail homes, or long term care facilities, we are available to help. We make it possible for seniors to live life comfortably with that extra bit of support.

We are currently recruiting full-time and part-time CCAs and Caregivers. We seek to provide days, evenings, weekends, and overnight placement.

Roles include, but are not limited to the following:

• Personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, daily readiness)
• Light housekeeping/laundry
• Meal preparation and clean up
• Respite services/companionship
• Running errands/assistance attending medical appointments
• Talking, reading aloud, listening, compassionate care

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• CPR/First Aid/AED
• Food Handlers/Food Safety
• Previous work experience giving care
• Caregiving skills/diploma in caregiving/CCA certificate
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Dementia Care certification is an asset
• Background check/vulnerable sector check
• Organization skills and time management
• Verbal and written communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 2-35 per week

Salary: $14.50-$20.00 per hour
