As the Recruiting Resource Leader, you will provide direct supervision, leadership and performance assessment for the civilian employees within the Recruiting & Selection Unit. You will oversee the quality control of documentation and ensure compliance with the Calgary Police Service (CPS). Specific duties include:
  • Liaise, engage and collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Recruitment & Selection Unit Management Team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Define project scope and contacts, collaborate with key project members and resources, and evaluate metrics.
  • Develop budget proposals, identify priorities, meet timelines and manage resources for Backgrounders and vendors.
  • Assist Recruiting & Selection Unit projects and/or initiatives and collaborate with key project members and resources to evaluate metrics.
  • Provide strategies in executing new initiatives including development of communication plans.
  • Collaborate with the Outreach and Recruiting pipeline team to identify and prioritize Unit goals and objectives (system implementation changes, technology changes, process changes, media campaigns, etc.).
  • Liaise with other HR units to implement solutions, business decisions and process improvements to current procedures.
Qualifications
  • Completed Certificate or Diploma equivalent to at least 2-year full-time study (e.g. Diploma in Leadership and Management).
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in leadership, teaching or facilitating, including a minimum of 4 years in a policing environment.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with vendor management experience.
  • Previous experience in recruitment and project management will be considered an asset.
  • Required competencies include analytical thinking, coaching and development, communication, conflict resolution, leadership, managing resources, team building and teamwork.

Compensation: Level E $80,640 - 121,760 per annum
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.


Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
