O2E Brands is looking for an
Accounting Manager (Contract) to join our growing team! As part of the finance department, you will manage everything related to accounting for some of our brands and assist with our ERP implementation project as needed.

For this role’s duty and responsibility we anticipate that you will be in the office 25% of time.
- Oversee the month-end closing process to ensure the completion of procedures in an accurate and timely manner including the review of variance analysis of the monthly financial statements
- Review and approve bank reconciliations, general journal entries and validate with supporting documents
- Review/prepare monthly working paper containing all financial statements and supporting documents; provide review notes, if any, to the preparers to ensure sufficient details are included in the binders for record-keeping
- Manage and maintain all accounting documentation around policies and procedure
- Manage year-end audit and review engagements for all entities
- Help identify process improvement opportunities and propose an execution plan to discuss with Corporate Controller
- Support Corporate Controller in ensuring both internal and external reporting deadlines are met
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports and guide them in accomplishing their short-term and long-term goals
- Support tasks related to ERP implementation as needed
- Support Corporate Controller with ad-hoc requests
- Designated or soon-to-be-designated CPA
- 5-7 years of accounting experience
- Solid understanding of ASPE and US GAAP/IFRS
- Adaptable, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong work ethics and accountability
- Great leadership to supervise and motivate direct reports
- Ability to prioritize tasks independently and meet strict deadlines
- Public practice experience in private enterprise is an asset
- Knowledge and experience in Great Plains and Netsuite is an asset
- Experience in ERP implementation is an asset
