JOB SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Manager, Cannabis Account Services this position is responsible for managing day-to-day, key retail relationship with private retailers, that results in profitable account development and growth. This position supports the management of private retailer relationships, and manages CRM database as required based on retailer changes. This position will be responsible for engaging with private retailers to inform them of changes, promotions and/or recommended products, as well as collecting feedback from retailers to gain insights on opportunities for improvement. This position is a key interface between the Cannabis retailers and the AGLC. Success in this position requires in-depth industry and organizational knowledge, strong analytical capabilities, excellent collaboration, and advanced relationship management skills. These outcomes will be achieved through key account management, development and advocacy.


Working with numerous retail product channels constantly evolving environments, diverse rules and policies, and multiple internal touch points the key account coordinator must proactively build, develop, manage and maintain strong working relationships with internal contacts and diverse external stakeholders including retailers within the sales network. This position will be expected to independently manage their territories, prioritize actions, escalate accordingly as well as have exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills.


This position will ensure mutual desired outcomes are achieved, and strategic partnerships are formed, in order to achieve revenue objectives as well as identifying emerging issues and trends. In order to do this, you will have excellent communication and negotiation skills. Due to the large geographic region that this position will cover extensive travel will be expected.


SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Completion of a Diploma in a related field, i.e. Business Administration, Communications or other related field is required
  • 5 years progressively responsible experience in key account/vendor management or sales management is required
  • Experience in a regulated industry in the area of account support is considered an asset
  • Regular Access to reliable transportation, along with a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract, is required
