The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Supervisor, Credit Risk. This job is full-time temporary.

You will be responsible for customer credit analysis, both domestically and internationally. You will need to put in place the best business practices including rigorous monitoring of KPIs.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of credit and collections specialists; monitoring portfolios performance and address approvals according to the delegation of authority

  • Put in place the best business practices and ensure a stable process efficiency

  • Work closely with the Sales Department to obtain the financial statements of private clients

  • Obtain the financial statements of publicly traded companies through their websites

  • Conduct credit analysis of private and public clients and identify clients with high credit risk

  • Discuss with the Sales Department to obtain more information on customers with abnormally high credit risk

  • With the agreement of the Commercial Department, communicate with clients (mainly the Chief Financial Officer) to obtain clarifications on their financial statements

  • Recommend a credit rating and a credit limit with or without credit protection for each of the clients, and obtain the necessary approvals

  • Manage insurance programs


Required profile :

We are looking for a candidate with experience in credit analysis and having the ability to put in place best business practices :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Options Finance or Accounting

  • Master's degree or professional designation in accounting would be an asset

  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience

  • Good understanding of the issues in the pulp and paper industry

  • Excellent knowledge of financial statements and financial analysis

  • Excellent judgment and analytical skills, and ability to explain and influence

  • Team player, professional and with excellent attentive listening

  • Ability to develop and maintain good business relationships with clients

  • Ability to adapt, organize and implement best business practices

  • Autonomous, motivated, persevere and oriented towards the excellence of the results
