Social Shift Therapy and Wellness is growing and looking to expand our Red Deer team. We are a new wellness clinic operating out of Red Deer County, Alberta and are committed to having a strong marketing strategy to support the growth of our team and ensure our community has access to the therapeutic expertise we will offer. At this time, there is already a growing list of clients on the waitlist and increased community interest!

We are dedicated to shifting mental health in our community. Our goal is to create a community of like-minded clinicians that are passionate about working collaboratively as a team, while honouring each clinicians' individuality in their own practice. As a contractor at Social Shift Therapy and Wellness, you will maintain your own autonomy in your practice, which includes your own booking, scheduling, and accepting payments.

This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to start a private practice or work extra hours during the week. Please note, this is a contractor position and may have a slow build, therefore, hours will vary in the early stages with room to grow, particularly if you are just starting out in your private practice. If this is the case, we will rally around you and support you in building your practice. Therapists can work as much as they want, and can choose to work remotely, in-person at our Red Deer office, or a combination of both. We will utilize our marketing strategies in addition to building a referral network between clinicians to ensure that clients are seen in a timely manner and not sitting on waitlists without access to the support they need.

We are focused on building a practice of competent, experienced and empathetic therapists who are committed to helping clients feel empowered in their healing, and discovering helpful and adaptive ways of coping. The ideal candidates will have skills to support individuals with a wide range of concerns and demographics that they can work with. In addition, our clinic will prioritize commitment to better understanding and continued learning about the difficulties that marginalized individuals face in our community, and beyond. You would be a great fit if you:

• Are a Fully Registered Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists or a Registered Clinical Social Worker in good standing with the Alberta College of Social Workers, or CCC with appropriate registration
• Carry your own liability/malpractice insurance
• Specialize in working with individuals, couples, youth, children, or families
• Enjoy working independently and have a desire to work collaboratively with our team
• Are a Provisional Psychologist with external supervision
• Are motivated to provide exceptional client care
• Desire continued self-improvement and have willingness to self-reflect
• Have the ability to manage administrative tasks for your client caseload (ie. responding to clients, maintaining client files, completing case notes, billing)
• Experience working with couples, teens, and children is an asset

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: $180.00-$220.00 per hour
