Reporting to the Director of Early Learning and Child Care, this position works within a dynamic team to provide leadership in the development and implementation of new programs and services to fulfill a number of priority initiatives including those outlined the Canada-Yukon Canada Wide-Early Learning and Child Care Agreement. The Early Learning Program Specialist provides leadership, builds relationships in meaningful ways, and supports the continued improvement and development of system-wide inclusive, culturally appropriate, and high quality early years programing and supports in the territory.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a growth mindset with the ability to develop respectful partnerships with various internal and external partners.

Essential Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Early Childhood Education, Early Learning, or Education. Other post-secondary education with significant experience in the Early Learning sector may be considered.
- Experience engaging and partnering with a variety of partners, stakeholders, and professionals.
- Experience facilitating professional development opportunities and/or delivering instruction or mentorship in an adult learning environment.
- Experience leading projects and teams, and/or working in a leadership role
- Experience planning, developing, and supporting the implementation of new programs and/or services.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
