Who we are:

The Early Childhood Services team in the Francophone school districts is seeking for Early Learning Consultant for Inclusion to work at the district level. The successful candidates will initially be responsible for helping establish a pedagogical approach framework for early childhood inclusive practices, developing training on the approach and then delivering the training to educators working at Francophone early learning and childcare facilities associated with their school district. The successful candidates will also be responsible for promoting inclusive practices among educators at early learning and childcare facilities. All work will be carried out in collaboration with EECD and the Francophone school districts District scolaire francophone Nord-Est, District scolaire francophone Nord-Ouest and District scolaire francophone Sud.

What you will do:

  • Reporting to the director of Early Childhood Services, the successful candidates will be responsible for:
  • Providing on-site support and resources to improve educators' comprehension of high-quality early childhood inclusive practices.
  • Providing professional training to individuals or groups to promote early childhood inclusive practices.
  • Promoting inclusive practices through various means and implementing inclusion policies.
  • Participating in the development of a pedagogical approach framework for early childhood inclusive practices as well as training.
  • Working closely with their counterparts in the two other Francophone school districts throughout all project phases.
  • Leading and supporting a collaborative approach to professional learning focused on enhancing reflective practice, advancing pedagogical leadership, and building upon existing quality.
  • Co-constructing, planning, and modifying professional development and workshop learning modules individually, as a team and in collaboration with the early learning specialist that align with the curriculum framework and based on observations and feedback from the sector.
  • Promoting the Curriculum éducatif pour la petite enfance francophone du Nouveau-Brunswick to inform and increase public understanding.
  • Playing an active role in the local management of certain Inclusion Support Program components.
  • Performing other related duties.

Work environment:

  • Office location:
    • Chaleur/Restigouche - District scolaire francophone Nord-Est région.
    • District scolaire francophone Nord-Ouest région.
    • District scolaire francophone Sud région.
  • Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30.

Need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, psychology or a related field with a minimum of four (4) years' experience in early childhood development. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Thorough practical knowledge of the Curriculum éducatif Services de garde francophones du Nouveau-Brunswick.
  • Ability to facilitate groups, virtually or in person, and supervise individuals.
  • Ability to pivot quickly, provide high-quality customer service and work effectively with fellow team members and partners.

Written and spoken competence in French is required. Please state your language capability.

Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration. Please ensure that preferred language for assessment is identified on your resume.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the use of a variety of technologies supporting remote communication and collaboration.
  • Experience in adult education.
  • Broad experience in and knowledge of curriculum development or concepts.

  • Ability to travel throughout the school district on a regular basis and elsewhere in the province on occasion.
