The Francophone Educational Services is currently seeking a Content Developer for the development of online courses in Numeracy for the Curriculum Branch.

What you will do:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and writing original, authentic, meaningful, and effective learning and assessment situations related to the development of essential numeracy skills.

In collaboration with a variety of stakeholders internal and external to EECD, the successful candidate will support staff in the Francophone Educational Services by:

  • Developing an online course for high school students.
  • Creating numeracy resources.
  • Incorporating up to date with research into instructional design.
  • Participating in meetings and training offered by the francophone education sector and the distance learning course management team; and
  • Collaborating with the provincial math learning specialist.

Your attitude, skills, and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education.
  • Teaching experience - 6 years.
  • Written and spoken competence in French; and
  • Experience in teaching numeracy (e.g., Pathway A math courses in New Brunswick)

Written and spoken competence in French is required. Please state your language capability.

Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration. Please ensure that your preferred language for assessment is identified on your résumé.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in resource teaching or a master's degree in education.
  • Excellent proficiency in writing French as well as the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Knowledge of the New Brunswick school system

Wage:

Pay Band 6 - $71,812 to $95,550 annually.

Work environment
