Full Job Description

The Counselling Corner is looking for part-time or full-time counsellors who can work with children, youth, adults, and families. This Position is flexible in hours.

The successful candidate will be trained in trauma-informed practice/trauma-based therapy and neurodiverse-affirming principles. Training in EMDR, play therapy, art therapy or somatic experiencing is an asset. The current positions available are for experienced Registered Psychologist or Social Work Clinician (MSW Preferred) who can provide service for in-person or virtual/phone sessions. This Position is part-time or full-time, with availability as your caseload and retention build.

The Counselling Corner is an independent private practice counselling agency looking for highly skilled and experienced mental health professionals. The current demand for our services has outgrown the capacity of our team, and we are looking at expanding again. We believe in exceptional client care and trauma-informed treatment and seek like-minded individuals to join as independent contractors.

Our practice offers services to individuals, children, adolescents, families, and couples. We specialize in treating anxiety disorders, depression, self-injurious behaviour, trauma, parent-child relationships, anger, divorce/separation issues, grief counselling, and more.

We believe in honouring work and family balance and helping therapists do the work they love without extra stress or bureaucracy. The Counselling Corner values assisting clients to understand the root of their difficulties through attachment-based and trauma-informed care, allowing clinicians to practice and provide service based on the client's needs. We are a team at The Counselling Corner Offices and want clinicians looking to join us for the long haul. The clinicians we hire are experts in their field and will be advertised as such, and we make a considerable investment in making that happen. Our philosophy is to promote balance and wellness from a holistic approach. While you will be working for a group practice as a franchise/independent contractor, we seek someone highly self-motivated and independent. Someone who is not interested in being micromanaged but is naturally at their best when given free rein to do what they do best - providing the best psychotherapy possible in every session with your clients.

The more availability you can offer, the quicker our team can build your clientele. While it may be slower for the first few weeks, we have a very successful marketing onboarding process for our new clinicians. How quickly your calendar fills are heavily dependent on the availability that you can offer. We never want to over-promise and under-deliver, so you must be upfront about your availability. You are paid per client seen, so we encourage applicants to consider this when applying for this Position.

The Counselling Corner covers all advertising and marketing and website. As an independent contractor, you are not responsible for your independent marketing unless you wish to build your caseload faster.
