New Job Business Manager In Saskatchewan

The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety has an exciting career opportunity as Business Manager of the Paul Dojack Youth Centre. The Paul Dojack Youth Centre (PDYC) provides supervision to secure, remand and open custody youth, ages 12 to 17 under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

This position will interest professionals who wish to assist the Ministry in providing overall management of the Centre's financial administration processes, including: budget/forecasting and expenditure control, purchasing, storage and inventory control, accounting, contract management, human resource administration, PS/CS/GE contract administration and interpretation, records management, financial analysis, automated systems design and control and capital projects. The Administration Manager is also responsible for the supervision of three support service areas: clerical/accounting, food services and maintenance.

To be successful in this position, you will have an understanding and knowledge of current public policy, financial management and public accountability principles, government decision-making processes, evaluation techniques and program management and delivery. You will have excellent conceptual, policy , and problem-solving skills , outstanding interpersonal , negotiation and communication skills.

Typically, to qualify for this position, you will possess an accounting designation or a combination of a degree in business administration complemented by related work experience.
