We are currently providing an opportunity for a well-rounded safety focused and mechanically inclined individual to join our team in the position of Equipment Operator (Processing) at our YYT - St. John's International Airport.

About You:
The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about safety, doesn’t shy away from a challenge and is comfortable working in an environment where the noise level can be excessive at times.

About the Position:
Aside from the excitement of working in a busy production facility, the essential duties and responsibilities of this position include:

Promoting and adhering to our safety and respectful workplace culture and instilling this culture in the station while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance with all Government Labour, Health and Safety laws, regulations and policies. HAVE ZERO TOLERANCE FOR UNSAFE ACTS!;
Plan and carry out work assignments and handle problems in accordance with instructions, policies, previous training or accepted company practices and procedures;
Keep all Inland owned or managed equipment, tools and materials in good working condition, including keeping clean and returning to assigned storage areas when not in use;
Monitor glycol processing equipment units to assure optimum production and efficiency;
Maintain glycol processing equipment as per Inland’s maintenance manuals and SOP’s in order to perform any and all maintenance functions as directed by management;
Complete and distribute daily glycol processing equipment production reports neatly and accurately;
Perform quality assurance sampling of all production processes at regular intervals during shifts, by using correct sampling protocol as established by Inland SOP’s;
Complete necessary repairs when needed on a timely basis such as; replacing parts, blowers, plumbing new lines and re-plumbing old lines, installing valves, meters, sensors, etc.;
Perform general maintenance as directed by management – this includes but not limited to removing heat exchanger plates, installing clean heat exchanger plates, changing filter, install/replace insulation, clean cyclones, clean area in around and under concentrators, replace parts as required, cleaning heat exchanger plates;
Promptly and accurately complete all associated paperwork as required;
Perform truck transfer operations which include both loading and unloading of tankers, and transfers of fluid between tanks;
Perform/complete other additional projects, duties, and assignments as required and/or by management request.

Qualifications:
Must be available and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays from October to June;
High school diploma or equivalent;
Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays for the duration of the season;
Ability to work independently showing good judgement;
Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively;
Ability to interpret documents including safety rules, operating, maintenance and procedure manuals;
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion;
General mechanical competence and ability to effectively use hand tools;
Ability to work as part of a team;
Ability to maintain a positive and good-natured attitude;
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met;
Must be comfortable working at various heights;
Willing to learn new skills and adapt to change in order to support the growth of the company and meet needs of customers.
