The opportunity

This competition is for a full-time term position starting as soon as possible until March 12, 2025.

Reporting to the Director, Policy & Communications, this position will be responsible for providing communications support, guidance and services to and for the Corporation.

Essential Qualifications

  • A degree in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field
  • Considerable experience providing communications support, including developing and implementing communications strategies
  • Experience writing for various audiences and media
  • Experience dealing with complex and strategic issues in a communications context
  • Experience responding to and/or developing complex, public-facing reports would be an asset

Candidates who have education, training and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.

Candidates should have and may be assessed on:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational awareness and political sensitivity
  • Strong ability to critically assess options and implications and link decisions to strategic goals
  • Excellent commitment to creating and maintaining a client focused culture
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively within teams and groups to achieve organizational goals
