The Information Technology Services Office supports the BC Public Service Agency by providing contract management, technical solutions, reporting and data analytics, privacy and security (including Freedom of Information (FOI)), facilities management, project management, business analysis, and application support.
The Role: Reporting to the Manager, Business Analysis this position uses standard business analysis tools and methodology to deliver systems projects which are high risk, use significant resources, and are high profile in relation to the interests of government. This position is responsible for facilitating the design, development, implementation, quality assurance and testing of technical systems.
Job Requirements:
- Degree or higher in business administration, public administration, or related and minimum one (1) year experience; OR
- Diploma in business administration, public administration, or related and 3 years’ experience; OR
- Certificate in business administration, public administration, or related and 4 years experience; OR
- Course work in business administration, public administration, or related and 5 years experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience providing customer service and support for information management/information technology (IM/IT) applications.
- Experience testing applications against defined requirements and documenting outcomes.
Preference may be given to applicants who:
- Have, or are working toward a Certified Business Analysis Practitioner (CBAP) designation.
- Have experience providing business analysis for information management/information technology (IM/IT) applications.
- Have experience writing end-user material (systems guides, training materials, etc.)

This position can be based in any of the following Public Service Agency offices: Victoria, Nanaimo, Vancouver, Prince George, Kamloops and Nelson
An eligibility list may be established.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement.
This position is excluded from union membership.
