Job Summary/Basic Function
The Landfill Attendant oversees the activities of the landfill public use areas, performs various maintenance/operational functions, and provides information and regulations to the public concerning solid waste disposal and recycling.

Duties

• Oversee the activities of the landfill public use areas, assist in directing vehicles to appropriate areas for disposal and recycling and provide general information to the public.
• Assist with general landfill site and labouring duties: including equipment and worksite maintenance, traffic control, material sorting, litter pick-up, cleaning, weeding, mowing, hydroseeding, pressure washing and other tasks as necessary.
• Perform “relief” duties for the Landfill Scale Operator.

Qualifications
BC Drivers Licence – Class 5
High school graduation or equivalent
