Under the direction of the Manager of Transit Service Delivery, the Team Lead of Operations Support is responsible to provide leadership through change and process management. This position will lead a team supporting major projects and programs within the division in accordance with collective agreement requirements and City policies and procedures. Primary duties include:
  • Direct the Calgary Transit Video Unit to assist in investigations, coordinating with internal and external partners.
  • Oversee the accuracy of initial investigations and assignment of Customer Service Requests (CSR) for the Transit Service Delivery division.
  • Manage uniform and clothing portfolio including contracts in partnership with the Fleet and Inventory business for all uniform items within Calgary Transit.
  • Lead On-Demand contract. Liaise with supplier to troubleshoot service issues.
  • Demonstrate support to Occupational Health and Safety programs including lead and facilitate other projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or Equivalency (e.g. G.E.D.) with at least 10 years of experience and a strong working knowledge of Calgary Transit service and operating regulations.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerits and no current suspensions or charges pending is required.
  • Preference will be given to those who have prior experience in supervising teams and leading team performance.
  • Experience in an operating unionized environment would be an asset.
  • Strong planning skills, relationship building, collaboration and execution are essential in this position.
