A career in our Sustainability practice, within Risk Assurance Compliance and Analytics services, will provide you with the opportunity to assist clients in developing analytics and technology solutions that help them detect, monitor, and predict risk. Using advanced technology, we’re able to focus on establishing the right controls, processes and structures for our clients to ensure that decisions are based on accurate information and assure that information provided to third parties is accurate, complete, and can be trusted. Our team helps organizations plan, source, deliver, finance and measure the wider impact of products and services. We’re helping future proof businesses by making them more resilient and sustainable. You’ll focus on identifying and prioritizing sustainability issues, setting goals that support alignment and integration of the sustainability vision into overall corporate strategy, and implementing processes, controls, systems, and dashboards to measure progress for consistent and accurate reporting.

Purpose-led work you’ll be part of

As a Sustainability Climate Change Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

  • Apply analytical skills and specialist knowledge to support our diverse, world-class client base with matters related to sustainability and ESG

  • Contribute effectively to complex, multi-disciplinary projects – often supporting several projects at a time

  • Helping our clients improve the way they operate, reduce costs, and manage risks and opportunities related to sustainability

  • Supporting client deliverables in a timely manner

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

  • Professional experience in any relevant sector including consulting, business, energy, government, non-profit, utilities or mining

  • Foundational knowledge in sustainability and application of the GHG Protocol and other standards/frameworks such as Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), SASB, TCFD, ISO 14064, or climate adaptation related standards such as ISO 14091

  • Foundational knowledge of GHG quantification and/or familiarity with the GHG Protocol

  • Exposure with data or economics would be an asset

  • Broader knowledge of and interest in ESG would be an asset

  • Excellent critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and problem solving capabilities

  • Strong research, analytical and report writing skills

  • Commitment to providing excellent client service, by building and maintaining productive relationships with both internal and external clients

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and handling large amounts of data

  • Ability to deliver high quality projects/assignments on time

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary teams

  • Strong personal initiative, agility and resourcefulness

  • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills

  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
