Situated on a beautiful historic 24-acre main campus, with a private waterfront on the Shuswap, hiking trails and nearby biking routes, Sorrento Centre has evolved into a values-based retreat and conference centre, welcoming small groups and individual guests for courses and retreats throughout the year.

The Maintenance & Groundskeepers will work as part of the child and youth team at the Sorrento Centre. The day-to-day work will be supervised by Maintenance Manager.

The Sorrento Centre is a dynamic retreat and conference centre in the beautiful South Shuswap region of British Columbia that welcomes a diverse variety of guests throughout the year.

We are seeking. Maintenance and Groundskeepers to provide routine maintenance, landscape maintenance and gardening of Sorrento Centre grounds. (2 vacancies)

The ideal candidates can handle physically demanding work performing tasks including mowing, edging, weeding, and watering of lawns and flower beds, keeping walks, driveways, and entrances clean, raking, and collecting refuse along with other routine jobs such as moving equipment and supplies, painting and repairs as directed by the Grounds & Maintenance Manager.

Education and Qualifications

• Current criminal record check with a Vulnerable Sector Screening, prior to start date

• First Aid Certificate
