Reporting to the Supervisor Home and Community Care, the Home, and Community Care Worker II assists clients in activities of basic personal care, and if necessary, household management, according to an established client care plan, helping clients maintain independence and functioning in their home environment. The Home and Community Care Worker II provides a key link to observe the client’s condition and any changes in their support network. The Home and Community Care Worker II reports any observed changes in the client’s condition to the Supervisor Home and Community Care or the Program Supervisor in the community.

The ideal candidate will have Grade 10 and 2 years of experience, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interpret, read and write in English, Inuktitut or Innuinnaqtun. Having training in Personal Care Skills and current CPR and First Aid Certificates would be considered an asset.

Equivalencies that consist of an acceptable combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

This is a part-time position.
