About the Role: Miller Paving in Atlantic Canada is looking for a summer student to support the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) team. . This role reports to the Senior Manager, HSE and assists with the implementation of Miller’sHSE program. This will be a 4-month summer term with full-time hours. The location for this job is 2276 Rte. 128 Highway, Berry Mills. E1G 4K4.
Responsibilities:
Support HSE coordinator in administrative duties related to systematic identification, assessment and control of hazards and risks
.Participate in HSE committee meetings and assist with agenda and meeting minutes
Support the implementation of the Miller’s y HSE program by assisting with daily tasks like tracking of issues, updating training matrix, preparing orientation packages
Requirements:
Working towards a post-secondary degree or diploma in Health and Safety or Environmental Studies
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize and organize daily activities,
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle
