New Job Head Lice Technician In British Columbia

If you are the kind of person who likes to help people in distress, and educate the public to a better and safer way of doing things, you are the person for us! You will be working primarily with families and children. Job satisfaction in our company is very high because every day we get to make people feel so much better. They feel better physically, but also emotionally. Customer satisfaction is extremely high, too.

Head Lice Technicians are responsible for providing a first line of response to families that may be struggling with head lice. You would be providing several services from screening for head lice, to full manual removal, to providing reassurance and education to anxious families. You will teach and advise clients on good head lice management practice. The Greater Vancouver Lice Clinic is also involved in educational workshops and school wide screenings, so you must be comfortable in these settings.

Requirements/Skills:

We are currently looking for full-time & part-time, weekend and evening coverage. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and an approachable demeanour. Applicant will be self-motivated, able to take initiative, and have good interpersonal skills. He or she must be comfortable working with head lice and in close contact with clients, as this will be a large part of the job. Duties will also include light office work such as filing, scheduling, customer transactions, and general organization of the clinic. Candidate will require a clean driver’s abstract and must have a criminal check. Applicant should have a high school diploma or equivalent education. Training is provided.
