Through following established policies and standard operating procedures, the incumbent will receive emergency calls and efficiently assess, process, prioritize, coordinate and deploy resources to deal with emergency medical situations throughout Yukon and allocate resources based upon call priority within an appropriate timeframe.

  • Experience working in a fast paced, 24/7 operation.
  • Experience providing advice or services to the public.
  • Experience working with allied agencies (i.e. Police, Fire, Health Care Professionals)
  • Experience working in a health care setting would be considered an asset.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability

Candidates should have and may be assessed on:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy;
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
  • Conflict management skills

Conditions of Employment: Security clearance including vulnerable sector, CPR-HCP- current valid certification.
Job Requirements: Shift work including weekends and holidays wearing a uniform and maintaining all conditions of employment.
