Job Summary

The Community Corrections and Corporate Programs Division of the Corrections Branch is responsible for the delivery of programs and services to adult offenders or alleged offenders awaiting trial or sentencing, who are serving community based sentences of the court. The intent of these programs and services is to enhance public safety by assessing and managing the risk of the offenders and providing intervention to change behaviour. The Community Corrections Division works closely with the court system and the Adult Custody Division of the Corrections Branch, and responds to court and custody requests for pre-sentence and other reports. Community Corrections Offices are the primary location for client supervision and liaison with community and justice partners as well as the general public.

Under the direct supervision of the Office Manager, the Administrative Assistant provides confidential office support services, frontline reception services, data entry for electronic systems, and maintains files and records, and provides financial support services.

Job Requirements:
  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED) and a combination of 1 year of related experience, education and or training (eg. Clerical, secretarial, receptionist, or administrative support).
  • Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Keyboard accurately 30 wpm.
