The Ministry of Corrections, Public Safety and Policing is responsible for providing a fair justice system that upholds the law and protects the rights of all individuals in Saskatchewan, promotes safe and secure communities, and provides legal and justice policy advice to assist government.
The Ministry of Corrections, Public Safety and Policing is seeking a skilled, ethical, and confident individual to work at Whitespruce Provincial Training Centre, near Yorkton, to provide comprehensive clerical support. Our candidate of choice will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a keen sense for detail.
As administrative support, you will greet callers, answering telephones and provide information to callers in a professional and respectful manner; you will have knowledge of accounting principles and practices to accurately code, verify, reconcile and safeguard cash or financial records in accordance with guidelines while maintaining confidentiality; you will type correspondence and reports and input, edit, update and retrieve information using various software packages and applications with accuracy. You will co-ordinate travel/hotel arrangements for training/meetings; you will schedule maintenance for CVA vehicles. You will provide support and orientation to people in office procedures and use of office equipment such as photocopiers, fax machines, computers, etc., to ensure proper and efficient usage of equipment. You will photocopy and file documents. Accuracy and confidentiality in all that you do is a must in this position.
Using exceptional client service skills, you will greet walk-in clients and telephone callers, providing them with accurate information in a professional and respectful manner while ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.

You must be a creative and principled individual who enjoys using your advanced secretarial skills. As the successful candidate, you must have the demonstrated ability to use a wide variety of computer applications as well as knowledge and skills related to office and administrative procedures and protocols, including the ability to interact with colleagues and challenging clients with diplomacy and integrity.
