ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Visual Merchandising Specialist provides support to the Merchandising Team for all cross-world strategic programs (i.e., all programs that include the combined participation of the Makeup, Skincare, Fragrance, and Sephora’s Private Label divisions). These multi-departmental programs include Sephora Animations (fixtures curated monthly to highlight the newest, most innovative trends in the market), Minis and More (a point-of-sale destination that features trial sized best-sellers and travel sized beauty product), temporary seasonal assortments featured in fixtures at the front of the store (Holiday, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Summer, etc.) and single-branded Pop-Up shops in the top stores across Canada. This position also serves as a cross-functional representative and liaison for the Merchandising Team, specifically for these programs working with other teams such as Retail Operations, Marketing Operations, Inventory Management, Marketing, Creative, etc.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Animations

  • Support the Visual Merchandising Manager during Animation Pitch process by preparing decks and attending meetings
  • Maintain and update all Animation Fixture calendars and communicate changes to cross-functional partners in a timely manner while ensuring maximum accuracy
  • Lead ART (animation assortment tool) by publishing summary of fixtures to merchant team and tracking that required fixtures are filled in
  • Export and communicate Animation fixture assortments and instructions for store execution
  • Work with Store Communications team to communicate Merchandising Updates/Execution to store teams (assortment information, visual merchandising instructions, workload hours, etc.)

Minis & More

  • Own Minis & More fixture quarterly update process
  • Collect all missing SKU numbers, prices, values, and PQs from merchant team for each season
  • Facilitate graphic review process with merchant team, production vendor and proofs graphics
  • Review planograms for each Minis & More update and upload to Sephora Mix
  • Track any late assortment changes, callouts, and upload to weekly callouts Smartsheet
  • Upload Minis & More assortments
  • Make Exclusives lists and send to inventory
  • Submit SKU list for Minis & More bag promo to US team

Visual Merchandising Programs

Pop-Up

  • Support Visual Merchandising Manager in updating Pop-Up guidelines monthly
  • Attend and document internal and external meetings
  • Support the creation of store execution guides, communicates installation schedule, and provides post-installation support (i.e.; collecting images to validate execution, troubleshooting, surveys)
  • Conduct quality control visits of Pop-Up stores post-execution

Find Your Fragrance

  • Project Manager for Find Your Fragrance Over the Top stores (OTT – Top 15)
  • Build brand specific timelines that reflect the milestones for all cross-functional teams
  • Schedule meetings for all program activities with internal and external partners
  • Build the store execution guides, communicates installation schedule, and provides post-installation support (i.e., collecting images to validate execution, troubleshooting, surveys)

Visual Merchandising Standards

  • Update Visual Merchandising Standards Guide on a quarterly basis
  • Regularly conducts store visits, survey and calls to understand gaps in Visual Standards Guide vs actual execution

Merchandising Support

  • Supports Merchandising Team with Visual Merchandising communication to stores
  • Supports SVP with creation of PowerPoint presentation decks and ad-hoc requests


WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 3 years of retail experience with a focus on Visual Merchandising, preferably in a communications role
  • College degree or diploma required, university degree considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is considered an asset
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly-evolving and customer service oriented environment
