Posting Status:
Open to all current Town of Oakville employees and external applicants.

Closing Date:

Program offerings and capacities may be reduced due the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 and implementation of necessary restrictions. Job specific duties may also be modified to comply with health and safety protocols

Job Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the League Convener for all Oakville Recreational Leagues, the timekeeper will control the score clock and monitor the game activity.
Key Task and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the games and record all statistical information. This Includes but not limited to:
  • Goals/Assists
  • Points
  • Penalties
  • Game Misconducts
  • Final Score
  • Control the score clock
  • Make sure that the referees and players sign the game sheet
  • Return all game sheet information to the League Convener

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Knowledge of hockey, basketball, volleyball and/or pickleball rules and leagues.
  • Previous Timekeeping experience an asset
  • Experience in customer service an asset
  • Data Entry and Processing skills

Time Requirements:

  • 3 – 4 hours a shift
  • Shifts available Monday - Sat
  • Commitment of 24 weeks
  • Available to work evenings

Please note that successful candidates, who are new hires and/or who have not performed in this position previously will be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check, with vulnerable sector screening, dated within the last 30 days as a condition of employment.
