Process Co-op Student - Irving Personal Care - Summer 2023

4 month term available, with the possibility to extend for an additional 4 months

Using state-of-the-art equipment and technology, Irving Personal Care produces premium quality private label products for major North American retailers.

The Process Co-op Student will be based out of Moncton, New Brunswick (220 Harrisville Boulevard, E1H 3N5). Being a member of the Process Team, the Process Co-op Student will be responsible for finding ways to improve the runnability of our production lines in order to reduce waste and downtime. The student will be working actively with a team of 6 experienced employees. This is a temporary student position. The primary language of work is English.

Job Requirements

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical, but will consider other Disciplines as well.
• Proven record of managing work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Self-starter who takes action and inspires others to do the same.
• Analytical, Organized and Detail Oriented.
• Strong Data Analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and competency with other Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic environment.

The main duties/responsibilities of this role include:

• Participating as a member of the Process team, assisting in the execution of projects and tasks in a timely, diligent, safe and professional manner, and contributing to the growth of the team and department.
• Improving our current processes on the production floor or in the process department.
• Resolve issues that arises daily or nagging issues to improve our overall production results (Assist in throughput and waste projects).
• Working and collaborating with other departments within the organization.
