Food & Beverage Manager provides an outstanding experience for our guests. They are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the outlets by adopting a hand on approach for training, motivating, supervising, and evaluating their team. They ensure that quality service, product, and safety standards are consistently met. This position comes with private on-site Accommodation.
Essential Functions
- Supervising the floor through scheduling and assigning tasks/cleaning duties and Daily Pre shifts with servers, bartenders, hosts, and food runners daily.
- Opening and closing the restaurants. Use the F&B Supervisor Checklist to ensure all leadership tasks have been completed.
- Maintaining consistency of service quality and standards, through daily coaching and scheduled training sessions with the team.
- Overseeing the FOH Expo for the food line ensuring consistency of portions and presentation, keeping an eye on preparation times.
- Working with the bartenders to provide a drinks program of great quality and consistency.
- Empower the front-line staff with regular coaching on product knowledge too.
- Learn how to operate the POS and resolve mistakes, errors, and crashes.
- Cash out servers at the end of each shift and reconcile each cash-out. Drop deposits each night.
- Maintaining stock levels for the Bar and service staff by ordering with the Warehouse team.
- Overseeing the set-up, maintenance and breakdown of buffets, functions and events as required.
- Attending regular leadership meetings.
- Assisting with monthly inventory.
- Responsible for reviewing the daily payroll, approving worked hours, and confirming schedules
- Monitoring of labor spend according to sales, to help achieve
- Provide coaching and conduct performance evaluations for all team members
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with all standards
- Other Duties as assigned
- Minimum of 5 years Supervisory or Management experience in Food and Beverage
- Knowledge of the operations of both Front of House and Back of House.
- Successful completion of Pro-Serve alcohol service certificate
- Food Safe Training considered an asset
- Experience of a high-volume restaurant environment.
- Knowledge of Squirrel POS systems is an asset
- Working knowledge of wine, wine service, spirits, and mixology is an asset.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
