The Ministry of Justice and Attorney General provides a fair justice system that upholds the law and protects the rights of all individuals in Saskatchewan; promotes safe and secure communities; and provides legal and justice policy advice to government.

Court Services has a challenging opportunity for a highly skilled, well organized and proactive individual for the role of Executive Coordinator. Our candidate of choice will be a self-starter, attentive to detail and capable of meeting new challenges while supporting an inclusive team environment.

As the Executive Coordinator, you will:

  • Provide support to the Assistant Deputy Minister and the Executive Director including organizing meetings, arranging logistics, creating agendas, preparing minutes and following up on action items;
  • Direct ministerial correspondence to the appropriate program area and ensure deadlines are met;
  • Edit, proofread and ensure accuracy of visual identity format in all correspondence and briefings for the Assistant Deputy Minister and Executive Director;
  • Prepare briefing notes and briefing binders for senior leaders;
  • Review expenditures and pay and track invoices;
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, prepare the necessary paper work to obtain prior approvals and complete expense claims; and
  • Maintain the office filing system, both paper and electronic.

What you will need:

  • Strong administrative and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Show good judgment when dealing with senior officials, stakeholders and staff.
  • Good problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Demonstrated accountability, flexibility and adaptability in order to meet new challenges in a changing environment.
  • Experience using a variety of computer software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

The successful candidate must demonstrate good character in order to maintain the integrity of the justice system and the people it serves and ensure confidentiality within and outside the place of work.

Typically, the knowledge and experience required in this position would be obtained through a certificate/diploma in business education combined with several years of senior administrative experience in government.
